• Where is Prosecco?

  • The Prosecco region lies in North-East Italy, in the beautiful areas of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, where tradition, family values and conservation are held in high regard. Lying between the Dolomites and the Adriatic Sea, terrain ranges from the flat valley floor of Treviso (DOC wines), to the steep hillsides of Conegliano, Asolo and Valdobbiadene (DOCG wines) where the steepness of the land demands that grapes be lovingly hand-picked.

  • Vines are grown only on the sunny side of the slopes, the shaded Northern slopes remaining wooded. The indigenous Glera grape thrives in its local climate, where long mild autumns lead into chilly but not freezing winters, and summers are hot with thunderstorms providing the necessary rain. The slopes are sheltered from too much wind by the pre-Alps, while a diverse range of soils add plenty of regional expression to the wines.
